When using water heaters, you need to know some features to clean the machine, only then will dirt not settle and shorten the life of the device.
Actually, cleaning water heaters is not too difficult and complicated, on the body of the tank there is a “hidden switch”, you just need to open it and dirty water will flow into the basin. This “hidden switch” is the sediment discharge valve on the water heater. Just turn it off, flush the water heater, and the dirt in the tank will go out this way.
The first thing you need to do before cleaning the water heater is to drain all the hot water in the tank to avoid burning us during the cleaning process. Then turn off the power and lock the water supply to the tank.
Next, remove the water supply pipe, the water outlet pipe and the safety valve in turn. When the water in the tank is drained, continue to turn the sediment discharge valve out, it is located right next to the 2 water inlet and outlet pipes. Note that you should be gentle because the sediment discharge valve is often attached to the Magnesium rod (descaling rod), the function of this rod is to protect the uncoated points in the water heater, preventing rust from occurring to protect the tank core from being punctured.
